On September 12, JACKIE FACTORY producers CHI CHI VALENTI and JOHNNY DYNELL will present their fourth annual LOW LIFE to crown the 2010 HOWL! FESTIVAL. LOW LIFE is the free and fabulous Sunday evening climax to HOWL! - a two hour spectacular inspired by East Village decades past. This year's LOW LIFE 4: BEAT GIRL pays homage to homegrown fifties beatnik culture and the BOWERY BEATS - the rebel painters, poets and performers drifting east from Greenwich Village. The BEAT theme will be interpreted by dozens of performers including Burlesque Queen DIRTY MARTINI, butoh company VANGELINE THEATER, crooner ADAM DUGAS, spoken word icons PAUL SKIFF and BOBBY MILLER, Sensationalist AMBER RAY, chanteuse HEATHER LITTEER, dance performance troupe the RACHEL KLEIN THEATER and MCs PAUL ALEXANDER (of THE ONES and JACKIE 60) with EMPRESS CHI CHI VALENTI. The show features remixes of classic Beat-era material by JOHNNY DYNELL, the show's co-producer.

It's a treat to hear great NYC club DJs like Johnny spin in a more intimate setting, as they do at the Thursday-night TINY BUBBLES DJ series at BUBBLE LOUNGE. There is no cover, and either Johnny or one of an eclectic September group of spinners (including JON JON BATTLES) will be manning the decks from 9 PM - 1 AM. This Tribeca mainstay is a perfect place to bring the boys (or girls) for a round or a bottle of champers and some dancing, and has a marvelously mixed crowd - gay, straight, local, tourist, etc. and even the local firemen from the "Ghostbusters" firehouse are known to stop by after work! Johnny spins Thursday 9/23 as part of TINY BUBBLES, and also look out for Saturdays 9/4 and 9/18, when Dynell mans the decks from 10 PM - 2 AM.
