Johnny is just back from a three week tour that began in Los Angeles in mid-May for the PAIGE POWELL book launch at GUCCI (where he featured this gorgeous jacket!). Then it was on to the AMFAR CANNES GALA on May 23 (picture above), with performances by SIR TOM JONES, MARIAH CAREY and THE STRUTS. Johnny created the soundtrack for the dinner and started the afterparty: the event raised 15 million euros for AMFAR’s lifesaving work. His final glamorous spin was June 3 in Berlin for the MAX MARA RESORT 2020 fashion show – the latest in his long collaboration with Max Mara designer IAN GRIFFITHS and the Italian fashion house. His fashion show score featuring David Bowie, Marlene Dietrich and Sven Ratzke was a big hit and the Neues Museum a stunning backdrop.

Back in Gotham, the city awaits its largest Pride March ever and the once in a lifetime celebration of STONEWALL 50. If you’d like to spend at least a piece of this epic weekend on Johnny’s dance floor, here are the details..

Big Daddy of Indie Gay Nightlife DANIEL NARDICIO has been producing his DWORLD UNDERWEAR PARTY for more than a decade in NYC, and brought it successfully to Fire Island’s raunchier sister CHERRY GROVE some years ago. The weekly hosts between 500-1000 visitors each Friday between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Often copied, it really is hard to top for energy and eye candy. Johnny began his fifth Summer residency there last Friday, and will be back regularly through late September. He looks forward to seeing (and spinning for) his “Island Family” on the decks of the iconic venue THE ICE PALACE, home to so much dance music history.

WORLD PRIDE NYC is thrilled to announce the legendary Saturday headliner GRACE JONES, along with TEYANA TAYLOR, KIM PETRAS and more for the Sold Out PRIDE ISLAND 2019. Pride Island, the multi-day live musical event will take place from Saturday, June 29 to Sunday, June 30, 2019 at Pier 97 in New York City. GRACE JONES, the acclaimed singer, songwriter, and actress, was born in Jamaica and began her decades-long career as a model in NYC and Paris. In 1977 she secured her first record deal which resulted in a string of iconic hits including “I Need A Man” and her unforgettable “La Vie En Rose.”

KIM PETRAS, the German born pop sensation, transitioned at an early age and is a role model to many twenty-somethings worldwide. TEYANA TAYLOR, one of the most versatile entertainers of her generation, is set to give face and New York ballroom realness during Saturday’s lineup. Rounding out Saturday night are Afro-Latina pop sensation AMARA LA NEGRA and Brazil’s most famous drag queen, PABLLO VITTAR. Popular NYC DJ JOHNNY DYNELL, will bring his infectious and inclusive style to the stage twice during the marathon show.
